CAF, a website promoting sustainable mobility












We have strengthened CAF’s digital presence and its new brand identity, bringing together its diverse range of products and services and offering a revamped, seamless online experience tailored to its various audiences.
A robust web platform for a global company
Based in Beasain (Gipuzkoa) and with over a century of history, CAF is a global company specialising in comprehensive mobility systems. Its international operations range from the manufacture of trains, trams and electric buses to digital and signalling solutions.
The revamped brand identity, developed by Tacticco Branding, called for a digital space to match. Against this backdrop, the main challenge for the new website was to reflect the complexity and global scale of CAF’s operations within a clear, accessible and adaptable environment.
As such, the new corporate website brings together the communication of its extensive catalogue of solutions and services, whilst catering to diverse audiences (customers, partners, suppliers and shareholders) whilst maintaining maximum clarity and consistency in navigation. All of this is delivered on a scalable platform, ready to tackle the company’s future challenges.
Taking a mobile-first approach, we design a scalable interface that reflects the values of innovation, sustainability and technical excellence in every interaction.
Strategic design for a clear and intuitive experience
From the outset, the interface design has been optimised for mobile devices, whilst ensuring an optimal user experience on any screen. Building on this foundation, a scalable design system has been developed that is consistent with the new brand identity, reinforcing CAF’s key values, such as innovation, sustainability and technical excellence.
The result is an intuitive user experience that conveys confidence and clarity. This is essential given the complexity of the products and services offered by a global company such as CAF.

The project, which combines a hybrid and modular architecture with Astro and Strapi, enables the creation of static, ultra-fast landing pages and dynamic content within a flexible platform that is 100% manageable by CAF.
A powerful and efficient hybrid technology stack
The technological solution is built on a tried-and-tested stack using Astro and Strapi, a framework and content management system respectively. We have thus configured a hybrid architecture that combines ultra-fast static landing pages with easily manageable dynamic content.
In terms of management, all content is fully manageable by the client, ensuring autonomy and scalability over time. To achieve this, a flexible and modular system has been designed, based on reusable layouts and components, enabling CAF to generate versatile pages tailored to each use case or entity.
Thanks to this solution, the new website not only offers a smooth and secure browsing experience, but also becomes a strategic tool: a robust and flexible digital asset that supports CAF’s positioning as a global leader in sustainable mobility.

Technology
The new interface and user experience have been designed with a focus on usability, allowing users to navigate and find content easily, with fewer clicks. Furthermore, the site’s design has been modernised to reflect the club’s visual identity, whilst maintaining optimal performance across all devices and screen sizes.
Given the high volume of traffic from mobile devices, optimising the mobile experience has been a priority. To this end, extensive testing has been carried out across various mobile platforms to ensure consistent display and functionality, whilst ensuring that every element of the website is accessible and performs efficiently in terms of mobile data usage.
